Exploring Your PC
First of all, if you hold down the "Windows" key on Your Keyboard
then hit the " e " key, You can find every single file, program, everything on your pc is there.
If you do NOT have a "Windows" key on your keyboard
On Your Desktop
Double click on "My Computer"
Click once to "Highlite" Harddrive letter (Mine is Windows95 {C:} below)
Go up to "File"
Click on "Explore"
It will open the same "Explore Window"
When Open, This is just about what you should see
From here, you can get to anything on Your PC
Now, Let's "Double Click" our "Harddrive"
See how it shows more of everything
Now, Let's "Double Click" our "Program Files"
Everytime you "Double Click" on a "Directory" (Folder), it will open it to everything in that folder. If I were to double click on My "101New" Folder, it would open up to all of my folders I've made, with all of my files (pages) in each folder.
You will find most of the "Programs" you install under "Program Files", (although they could turn up anywhere they are set to work best.
Like You see My ICQ listed down at the bottom of the left pane. Because I know where it is, and open it, I can backup my ICQ List in case I crash, (which I do often. Mostly controlled now. {smiles} ).
Another advantage to knowing your way around, is if you click on "windows" under "Windows", you can get to your "Favorites" and add folders, delete, move things around.
You can add or remove things from your "Start Menu".
Or Even "Send To", if you are frequently putting things in a particular folder you've made.
Ok, You're getting the idea. So let's move on to making a folder, so you can get organized and make it easier on you. After all, that's what these things were designed for, Right?!
